33% Club 33% Club: Bought This Stock and Transferred $6 250 Published 1 year ago on October 5, 2017 By Jonas Borchgrevink As most members know, I’m investing 33% of my monthly income in “safe investments” that I have a longterm belief in. My September investment was made today in KCAP. This stock has one of the highest dividend payouts I’ve seen, and their paying out 0.12 USD today. This company has strong financial fundamentals and has been profitable for quite a while. Should be a “safe” investment for the long term. I’ve also transferred 50 000 NOK to my investment account to use as my October investment. That’s approx. $6 250 (1 USD = 8 NOK). My Funcom investment is the only investment that has turned negative this year, I’m still going to hold it for a couple of more months and then I’ll reassess the investment. But it would have been a cool opportunity so never mind. I am holding 10k EUR of thetoken.io since May17. Nice return. I know you don’t really believe in the crypto sector any more but if you want to cancel your Funcom Investment I would definitely give a chance to one of those smart contracted crypto funds. My current investments have done fine, but I saw a drawdown for “Funcom” which is now in minus 1 329 NOK. My Norsk Hydro investment has given a 12,30% return which is quite staggering. I read Funcom’s latest financial report, that you can find here, which was a good read: 1H17 is the most profitable half-year period ever in Funcom’s history. However, they have exercised options and there are some concerns regarding their ongoing profitability if the sales decline of e.g. Conan Exiles. This stock is a small cap stock and is volatile. I’m therefore unsure if I want to keep investing in Funcom or if I actually want to sell with a loss and find another asset to invest in. Your comments might sway me in the right direction. I have not found a new asset I want to invest in just yet, but I’ll write a new post once I do and when I have invested the new 40 000 NOK that I transferred today. I can reveal that I’m looking into other gaming companies and Lithium based companies. I chose to invest in Norsk Hydro, a Norwegian company that produces aluminum (on of the largest in the world). I was thinking of investing in Statoil, a Norwegian oil company, but I decided not to as the Oil price is still unstable. The stock price of Norsk Hydro has been doing well lately, see the graph below, due to the increase in aluminium price. You can see my previously investments in the table below. Since I started I’m almost up $1000 on the 4 investments I’ve made. This is a part of the 33% Club on Workplace where we have more than 43 members who have invested 300 000 USD in assets they feel have the most potential (look for the group 33% Club). We have all taken a pledge to invest a certain amount of our income each month in an asset each member choose for himself. I’m going to invest in a stock I believe in, which have taken quite a beating recently due to the decline in oil demand. It is a Norwegian company that is also involved in renewable energy, and I believe they will shift more focus towards that area (as the Oil-age is coming to an end). I’ll share my new investment in a few days.
