Burger Joint Wendy’s Confirms Credit Card Breach in 1000+ Locations

Fast food chain Wendy’s has confirmed a credit card breach induced by a malware compromising its point-of-sale systems, has impacted over 1,000 outlets, rather than initial estimates of 300 restaurants.

On June 9, 2016, fast-food restaurant chain Wendy’s had admitted that the number of franchise outlets affected by a point-of-sale compromising malware attack was “considerably higher” than the 300 restaurants believed to be targeted.

Acer Security Breach Compromises Customers’ Credit Cards

Computer hardware maker Acer has quietly admitted and informed the attorney general in California that its online store was targeted in an attack by hackers.

Taiwanese tech giant Acer has turned in a letter informing the California attorney general about an unauthorized third party accessing its servers. The hacker or hacker group has taken an entire year’s accumulation of names, addresses and credit card data.

The affected data contains records collected between May 2015 and April 2016, as reported by ZDNet which broke the news.

Trump Hotels Breached by Credit Card Hackers, Again

A new report alleges that the Trump Hotel Collection has been the target of a breach of its credit card systems, for a second time in less than a year.

Republican frontrunner and presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s exclusive string of luxury hotel properties, the Trump Hotel Collection, may be the target of a second known breach of its credit card systems.
